Start to finish
Six steps, and the same pair of hands does all six
I am Francisco Carrillo. There is no sales rep, no crew and no office in the way, so the man who quotes your kitchen is the man kneeling on the floor of it three weeks later. No deposit is taken until the quote is signed. Nothing before the measure needs you to speak to anyone. Here is the whole thing, including the waiting.
See it on your own kitchen
Two minutes, online
Upload one photo of your kitchen, pick a door style and a color, and the site generates a picture of your room with those doors on it. Nothing to pay, and nobody calls you unless you ask. Most people try five or six combinations and rule out three of them.
I come and measure, free
About 45 minutes, at your house
I open every cabinet and measure every opening myself. I check the boxes are sound, look at the hinges, and bring real sprayed samples so you can see the color in your own light. If I think new doors are wrong for your kitchen, this is where I say so.
I write you a fixed quote
Within two working days
One number, itemized, with the door count on it. It is the number you pay. If I find something behind a cabinet that changes the work, I stop and talk to you before I touch it. Nothing gets added to the invoice at the end.
I make the doors
Two to three weeks
Everything is cut to the sizes I took in your kitchen, not to standard sizes. Painted fronts are sprayed and left to cure flat in my workshop before they come anywhere near your house. You are not in the way during this part and there is nothing for you to do.
I fit them
One to two days
Old doors off, new hinges on, new doors hung and adjusted until the gaps are even. It is one man in your kitchen, not a crew, so the house stays quiet and you always know who is in it. Dust sheets down, and every old door goes away with me. You keep the sink, the oven and the fridge the whole time.
I stand behind them
Afterwards
If a door drops, a hinge fails or a finish lifts, call me and I come back and put it right. I work under my own name across southern Virginia and central North Carolina, on my own phone, so I am not hard to find.
Five of those six steps are me. That is the reason to use me rather than a showroom: nothing gets handed over, nothing gets lost between the man who measured and the man who cuts, and there is only one person to call if something is wrong.
Being straight about step one
What the preview is, and what it is not
The picture the visualizer gives you is generated by an image model from the photo you uploaded. It is an impression of your kitchen with a different door on it. It is good enough to rule an option in or out, and it is genuinely useful for that. It is not a technical drawing and it is not a quote.
I put it first because it saves you the part of this process everybody hates: trying to picture a kitchen you have never seen from a swatch the size of a postcard.
- Colors shift on screens. Your phone, your laptop and the sprayed sample I hand you will all disagree slightly. The generated image disagrees a bit more.
- Details can drift. The model can get a handle position or the exact width of a frame wrong. Judge the overall look, not the sixteenths of an inch.
- I bring real samples. I turn up to the measure with sprayed sample doors in the colors you shortlisted, and I leave them with you for a few days.
- Nothing is ordered off a preview. What I build comes from my own measurements and the signed quote, never from the image.
One photo is all step one needs
Stand in the doorway, get as much of the run in frame as you can, and upload it. Free in-home measure anywhere I cover.
